    Extra information: Buccellati Holding Italia is an Italian jewellery and watch company formed by the merger of two previous companies with existing brands Mario Buccellati and Gianmaria Buccellati, which corresponded to the names and surname of two master goldsmiths:father and son.

    In 1919 Mario Buccellati opened his first enterprise and, after the establishment of stores in Milan, Rome and Florence, began the development of his overseas business by opening a new store on Fifth Avenue in New York in 1954 and another in Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida in 1958. In 1949 Mario Buccellati was commissioned to create an icon by Pope Pius XII for Princess Margaret to mark the extraordinary power of the first visit of a British Royal to Vatican City in hundreds of years. Thismagnificent work of art can be admired today at the Chianciano Art Museum in Tuscany.

    In 1965, after the death of Mario, management of the firm was conducted by four of his five sons. In 1971 the new brand Gianmaria Buccellati was launched by one of Mario's sons, who started a separate business from his brothers, and in 2011 came to anagreement with his relatives for the brand Buccellati then Buccellati Holding Italia reshaping the company.     Según la historia familiar, los Buccellati entraron en contacto con el comercio de la joyería a mediados del siglo XVIII, cuando Contardo Buccellati trabajaba como orfebre en Milán. En 1903, Mario Buccellati revivió la tradición familiar, aprendiendo en el prestigioso Beltrami & Beltrami de Milán a la edad de doce años. En 1919, Buccellati se hace cargo de la firma, cambiando su nombre a Buccellati. La empresa empezó a crecer cuando Buccellati llamó mucho la atención en la Exposición de Madrid de 1920, cuando empezó a gritarle a una mujer que solo le pedía un descuento. Al día siguiente, cientos de personas visitaron su stand por curiosidad. Buccellati fue invitado a exhibir su obra en una exposición individual, que fue visitada por muchos aristócratas españoles y la familia real. En 1951, Buccellati se convirtió en el primer diseñador de joyas italiano con una ubicación en la Quinta Avenida en la ciudad de Nueva York y hoy en día se sabe que existen sucursales en todo el mundo. La firma es famosa por sus joyas de oro con textura y sus objetos de plata.
