- Sobre la obra de arteJoseph Molten was born in 1746 in Bern, Switzerland, as Giuseppe Moltono. Around 1765 he moved to Amsterdam and began a shop in barometers on the corner of the NZ Voorburgwal and the Lijnbaanssteeg.

Dutch private Collection - Sobre el artistaJoseph Molten (1764, Berna), de nombre italiano Giuseppe Molteno, fue un fabricante de relojes y barómetros, nacido en Suiza. Murió después de 1790. Se mudó a Amsterdam alrededor de 1765, donde comenzó una tienda de barómetros en la esquina de NZ Voorburgwal y Lijnbaanssteeg. Estaba casado y tenía dos hijos. Varios de sus barómetros son de estilo Luis XV (hacia 1740-1770).
