  Late summer fruit still life, watercolour by Hendrina Alida Sollewijn (1783-1863). Signed lower left "H:A: Sollewijn fecit". Size: 40 x 29.5 cm. Hendrina Sollewijn from the Dutch town of Haarlem was, according to a 19th century source, a “meritorious painter of Flowers and Fruits. Every day she has the best opportunity to practice in the surroundings of her hometown, by drawing Flowers and Plants”. A basket of fruit is laid out on a marble tabletop. We see a composition of a vine with leaves, two kinds of grapes, peaches with a fly, a cut open pumpkin, raspberries, bindweeds, a grass with ripe seeds, a dahlia, an anemone(?) and a butterfly. Trees with their leaves still on fill the background. It will be autumn soon. Price: Euro 1.250,- (incl. frame)

  Hendrina Alida Sollewyn (28 de octubre de 1783 - 6 de octubre de 1863 en Haarlem) fue una pintora y dibujante holandesa. El apellido también se menciona como Sollewijn. Firmó su trabajo como H.A. Sollewyn.

  Hendrina Sollewyn era hija del fabricante Pieter Sollewyn y Jansje la Roop. Fue instruida por el pintor Wybrand Hendriks. Pintó y dibujó naturalezas muertas con flores y frutas. Los contemporáneos Roeland van Eijnden y Adriaan van Willigen vieron su trabajo en exposiciones y la describieron en su Historia de la pintura patriótica como: "una merecida pintora de flores y frutas. Herr Hendriks fue su maestro, y todos los días tiene la mejor oportunidad de hacerlo". cercanías de su ciudad natal para practicar la naturaleza, dibujando Flores y Plantas. (...)   Sollewyn fue miembro de Kunst Zij Ons Doel, fundado en 1821. Participó en varias exposiciones, incluidas varias exposiciones de Living Masters en Haarlem, La Haya y Amsterdam. Vivió los últimos diez años de su vida en Teylers Hofje en Spaarne.

  Hendrina Sollewyn murió en 1863, a la edad de 79 años.
