Sobre la obra de arte
In 'Silently Singing', Horne captures movement through his expressive and wide brushstrokes, together with simple colours and thin layers. The rush of the city, or constant flux of people in an airport have been inspiration for the artist.
As Degas with his ballerinas, Kerry Horne places the viewer in the middle of the event, getting completely soaked in the moment. However, at the same time, the viewer is not in movement, is an observer of the "mess", as when taking a photograph or 'people-watching' in a cafe.
Sobre el artista
La educación de Kerry fue multidisciplinaria siguiendo los principios educativos de la Bauhaus (la formación fundamental fue en una Escuela de Diseño directamente descendiente del Black Mountain College que comenzó cuando la Bauhaus en Alemania se vio obligada a cerrar).
Ha ejercido profesionalmente en las tres disciplinas de Arte, Diseño y Arquitectura. A menudo como enlace entre estas disciplinas.
Ha vivido y trabajado en Raleigh, Los Ángeles, Londres, Berlín y actualmente en Ámsterdam.
Proyectos ubicados en estas localizaciones además de París, Nueva York, Riad y otros lugares especiales.
