Very cute Art Deco bronze sculpture of a mother bird feeding her young.
Both birds are sitting on a branch. The bronze has a lovely original patina and stands on a Belgian Black marble plinth. Signed by the famous artist Andre Vincent Becquerel, France 1925.
André Vincent Becquerel nació en St. Andre-Farivilliers (Oise) en Francia. Estudió con Héctor Lemaire y Prosper Lecourtier. Se especializó en escultura animal; mostrando una marcada preferencia por los temas depredadores, felinos y ornitológicos, que expuso en el Salon des Artistes Français de 1914 a 1922. Se convirtió en miembro vitalicio de este Salón. Murió en París en 1981.
