    Jan Teunissen (1949) creció en Zeelst, cerca de Eindhoven. Jan actualmente vive y trabaja en las cercanías de Best. En gran parte como autodidacta, se ha vuelto experto en el oficio de la pintura realista.

    Los óleos de Jan se caracterizan por un altísimo nivel de realidad. A menudo se trata de naturalezas muertas en una atmósfera de clara oscuridad. La luz y la sombra juegan un papel importante. Además, pinta objetos casi exactamente del tamaño que realmente tienen. Estos son a menudo objetos cotidianos, de nuestro propio jardín. En sus pinturas se concentra en los más pequeños detalles y reflejos. Este amor y atención se refleja claramente en su trabajo.
