    Leo Roth (1914-2002) In 1920, Roth moved to Germany and, in 1933, immigrated to Palestine. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and completed frescoes in Italy and France in the 1950s. Roth settled in Tel Aviv, He served as Director of the Art Academy of the Kibbutzim. In 1959, he was awarded the Jordan Valley Prize for Painting. Roth exhibited in the United States, Israel, Mexico, Spain, Holland, Sweden, and Denmark. He died in 2002.

    Roth's work was influenced by Cubism and Chagall. His colorful canvases contain biblical imagery and references to early Israeli pioneer culture.

    Leo Roth (Polonia, 1914 - Israel, 2002) fue un pintor israelí fuertemente influido por el cubismo.

    Nació en Polonia en 1914. En 1920 se trasladó a Alemania y en 1933 emigró a Israel donde residió por primera vez en Tel Aviv. Luego se mudó al Kibbutz Kinneret. Eventualmente se mudó al kibbutz Afikim donde permaneció hasta su muerte.

    Estudió arte en la École des Beaux Arts de París. En Israel fue director de la Academia de Arte Kibbutzim. En 1959 ganó el premio del valle de Jordaan por su pintura.

    Sus pinturas han sido expuestas en Israel, Holanda, México, España, Suecia y Dinamarca.
