- Sobre el artistaLucien Frank (1857-1920) fue un pintor belga nacido en Bruselas y educado en Francia. Aunque no había recibido una educación artística académica, Lucien probablemente fue educado por el pintor francés Charles-François Daubigny. Se dice que conoció personalmente a Edouard Manet. Frank prefirió trabajar "en plein air" y se sintió atraído por un pequeño pueblo de Bélgica llamado "Ohian", donde trabajó durante varios años. Poco después, Frank se interesó por las costas holandesa y belga. Más adelante en su carrera, Lucien pintó sus obras más conocidas, con paisajes urbanos vibrantes y figuras en los mercados con su propio estilo fresco.
